In this show, I pick up from last week’s program of the history of our English Bibles. As I have already mentioned in the previous part of this study, there were only a few people who wrote the Bible and not many as some like to say that it was -- there were many "translators" who translated the Bible that existed from the original language of from about the 1400’s BC to the 1st century A.D. This is a long and fascinating transition from the original Hebrew to the Greek Bibles and subsequently to the English that we read today...

Show #54: A lot of people have truly forgotten what the Bible is all about – how precious it is, as the Word of God and what it took to bring it to us the people. This study is not about the wherefrom of the manuscripts and the references of the Codex and Textus Receptus, or the Apocripha, the Canon, and so on, although I will get into that in another program, but this particular work rather is from the historical background of England from which we get our first English translations of the Bible… and the people who struggled to obtain our English Bibles and even gave their lives to make available what we have today…

Brief on both shows:

Show #52: Genuine Humility -- There is a scripture passage in the Bible that I have often remembered at various times in awkward situations, but haven’t yet spent the time to unpack into a message… but I will be doing that today. The passage I am referring to is found in the book of Luke, chapter 14… It is a wonderful teaching from our Lord about genuine humility… Which, as we will see, a lot of people have ignored and/or forgotten in these hectic end times…

Show #53: Seeing the Father -- Some time ago, I received an email from someone contending some of the alleged contradictions in the Bible. In particular this individual was pointing out that on one hand the Bible says that no-one has seen God, and yet, on the other, there are many scriptures that say that people in the Bible did see God. He sent along a list of scriptures that supposedly say that God was seen by humans. I will look into that in a moment….
